“I have a genuine enjoyment for what I do. Each day is another opportunity to help someone new.”
Senior Adviser Anthony Dhillon works directly with his clients to provide ongoing, strategic investment advice to assist them to achieve their lifestyle and financial goals both now and in the future.
He specialises in retirement and pre-retirement strategies, SMSFs, investment and personal insurance advice.
The office jokester, he values working in an office where the culture is great, and there are always plenty of jokes and stories to share.
Anthony had a different career before Financial Planning – he was a personal trainer.
But after five years of getting up at 4am to see clients, he decided to pursue financial planning due to a personal interest in managing his own investments.
A few degrees later, he started with the First Financial planner training programme as a technical analyst, and has steadily risen through the ranks.
He says that the satisfaction of helping people in areas which are not their expertise is immense.
“Knowing I can help people achieve their financial goals is a great feeling.”
Anthony values the opportunity to work with new clients to create plans to achieve their goals.
“I feel it is important to be passionate about what you do, whether that be professionally or socially. I get great enjoyment being in the office, which allows me to enjoy myself when I am not in the office.”
And he’s been fortunate enough to have two winners at Flemington, and sharing this experience with his mates was exhilarating.
And when he’s not working, Anthony is truly sports mad … whether it’s live, or on TV, he loves to follow his team and players.
And in an alternate universe Anthony would be Sachin Tendulkar — The Little Master and greatest run scorer in cricket history.
